Professional products
All of the products used in our salon are New Zealand owned and distributed and only available to qualified industry professionals - this includes multiple ranges to suit nail sensitivity, lifestyle and strength. If you are vegan, have previously developed an allergic reaction to nail products, or are prone to skin or nail sensitivity, please let us know at your appointment so we can ensure the appropriate products are used for you.
No-Stain Top Coat
Are you a hair stylist, tattooist, avid self-tan fanatic, cooking enthusiast, purple-shampoo user or serial home-box-dye user? Our No Stain Top Coat ensures your turmeric, hair dye, purple shampoo, tattoo ink and fake tan literally just wash off, leaving you that beautiful finish you left the salon with. White nails, here you come! ;)

Do you just want to sit and relax during an appointment? Maybe you've been working all day and would love some peace and quiet, or this is the only time you tend to take for yourself. Anxiety around conversation at appointments is so common - so, because mental health is so important, we've introduced The Silent Treatment. Your artist will ask you a couple of questions regarding your nails at the beginning of your service, then you're welcome to pop on some headphones or sit in silence to enjoy your time in the salon.

Gel Polish
Gel Polish is an LED-cured product overlaid onto your natural nail length and can last 4+ weeks. Rubber Base is stronger than a general gel base coat, so gives your manicure even more of an insurance policy!
We infill our manicures rather than fully remove and reapply, which allows us to preserve your nail plate integrity by only ever directly filing the natural nail once.

Builder Gel
A structural product utilised to provide further strength to your nails and manicure.
Do you work out a lot, type on a keyboard for a job, or are your natural nails longer than 5mm past the tip of your finger (pictured)? We’d recommend adding a Builder Gel Overlay to your service.

Gel Extensions
Gel Extensions are pre-sized and structured tips made of gel (not plastic!), adhered to the full nail plate using a gel formula.
Gel Extensions are great for if you generally get a gel mani but are looking for some one-off extensions for an event (as they can be easily restructured and shortened back to natural nail length + infilled), or if you’re after a more affordable extension option.
We do not recommend Gel Extensions for nail biters.
Gel Extensions can be rebalanced with either Builder Gel or Acrylgel - this will be recommended by your technician at your Gel Extension Infill appointment.

Acrylgel
A gel:acrylic hybrid used for overlays and extensions similarly to acrylic, but with a little more give - think, acrylgel is your earthquake-proof building vs acrylic being your concrete pole.
If your lifestyle is quite hands-on - e.g you’re a hair-stylist, ECE carer, work in healthcare or an avid gardener - acrylgel will be more up your alley than classic acrylic or gel polish alone.
All of our extensions are form-sculpted, meaning your enhancement is built entirely custom to your nail plate.

Acrylic
Your classic product used to extend the nail. Acrylic is the sturdiest product we offer; we recommend acrylic for those who love a super sharp point or corner (and also for particularly bad nail biters), as it holds its integrity/shape the best when placed under intense/repetitive pressure.
All of our extensions are form-sculpted, meaning your enhancement is built entirely custom to your nail plate.

Encapsulated Acrylic
Created using various mixed media and techniques to add depth and texture into a design in a way gel polish can’t - the design is capped with a clear acrylic and then sculpted into shape, resulting in deeper 3D textures, colours and reflections, a sharper finish and a design inside your nail you literally cannot peel or chip off.

If you would like to book in for an appointment at The Nail Vault and currently have product on your nails from another salon, you will need to ensure you have also booked a removal alongside your service.
